CradleFree

Privacy Policy

Effective October 26, 2026

CradleFree doesn't collect your data. What you log stays on your iPhone, and in your own iCloud if you share with family. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and we have no server that receives your records.

What you log

Feeds, sleep, diapers, pumping, solids, health notes, growth, questions for the doctor and any notes or photos you add are saved on your iPhone inside the app. They go wherever your iPhone backups go (iCloud Backup or your computer), so they move with you to a new iPhone.

Family sharing (optional)

If you invite family, CradleFree uses Apple's iCloud sharing. The records are kept in the inviting person's iCloud and shared only with the people they invite. We, the developer, can't read them. Apple's privacy policy covers iCloud.

When someone leaves or is removed, the family's records are deleted from that person's iPhone.

Invitation codes

An invitation can come with an eight-character code, for when a chat app won't open the link. The invitation is locked with that code and kept in the app's public iCloud area for up to 72 hours, or until it is used or cancelled. Without the code nobody can read it, us included.

Purchases

The free trial and the Family Pass are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. The app checks the receipt Apple signs, on your iPhone. If you share with family, the Pass is noted on the buyer's family record (the purchase date and Apple's transaction number) so everyone in the family unlocks.

Siri, widgets, the lock screen and reminders

These run on your iPhone. Feed reminders and medicine reminders are scheduled on your iPhone only and are not shared.

Diagnostics

CradleFree contains no analytics or crash-reporting code from other companies. If you turn on "Share With App Developers" in your iPhone's Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements, Apple may share crash reports with us. They don't contain your records.

Children

CradleFree is made for parents and caregivers. It isn't directed to children. The records are about a baby and are kept by the baby's parents.

Your choices

Not medical advice

CradleFree shows what you logged. It is not a medical device and doesn't diagnose anything. Ask your doctor if you're unsure.

Changes

If this policy changes, this page and its date change with it.
